Ka Papa Loʻi ʻo Kānewai, Saturday, February 3

Join a community work day at Kānewai. Located next to the Hawaiian Studies building at UH Mānoa, near the Honolulu Kānewai Community Park. Work in and around the loʻi. You will get dirty! We recommend wearing slippers, bringing water, a snack, a towel, and a change of clothes. Street parking is limited; car-pooling is encouraged. Otherwise you can park in the structure for $5/day (bring your student ID and cash).

Waikalua Loko Iʻa, Saturday, February 17th

Join a community work day at Waikalua Loko Iʻa in Kāneʻohe, working in and around the loko iʻa. You may get wet or dirty! We recommend wearing athletic shoes or tabis, bringing a reusable water container, sunscreen, and gloves. A light lunch will be provided!

Kumuola Foundation, Saturday, February 10th

Join a community work day at Kumuola Foundation in Mānoa. You may get wet or dirty! We recommend wearing clothes and footwear you donʻt mind getting dirty and bringing a reusable water container. A light lunch will be provided!

Mālama Mālā Maunuunu, Saturday, February 17th

8:00am - 12:00am

Join the Kapoʻoloku program for Native Hawaiian Student Success at the māla Māunuunu located behind Mānele building. Don't forget to bring a food item to share at the potluck following the work day!

Community Work Days are open to the public and are not in association with the Ho'opili Hawaiian Club. These events are advertised as opportunities for engaging in various communities and their events. If you are registering for these events, keep in mind that you may need to complete a waiver form for these organizations in order to participate. The Ho'opili Hawaiian Club does not assume responsibility of participating club members in these events.
